Artist Makes Hospital More Fun by Providing Free Tattoos to Kids

There are different ways through which each and every person can help the life of another. In most cases, it is the things that we do for others or the things we give them, without expecting something in return, that make all the difference. More often, it is those things that we do not really think people will take seriously that they eventually do.
Benjamin Lloyd is an artist in New Zealand, one of those who have been in the industry for a while. He wanted to do something good for the less fortunate, and he found a really good way to do so, in a manner that he understands best, through art.
The artist went on his Facebook page, and declared that if he would be able to get 50 likes, he would proceed and provide free temporary tattoos to the kids at Auckland’s Starship Children’s Hospital. This was in a bid to use his talent to give back to the society. As luck would have it, he did not get 50 likes. Instead, he received more than 400,000 likes, and these still keep rising over time.
When this happened, he honored the pledge that he had made. He has been an airbrushing artist for nearly a decade, and just started working on tattoos recently. Since then, he had been providing these services only for adults, and in most cases for fun. However, the moment he made the suggestion to do the same for kids, everyone online was excited about the prospect.
Lloyd has already displayed some incredible art work that he has done for some kids in the past, and if those are anything to go by, the whole venture is awesome, helping the kids get their confidence back through a custom tattoo.

Pakistani Muslim Feeds the Hungry For Free At His Restaurant

Kindheartedness is not about your religion; it is about your individuality. This is why the world will get much better if the inhabitants can start judging one another in line with deeds of the individual, rather than the religious inclination of the individual. The people you might have been associating with violence may turn out to be your savior tomorrow.
The story of Razi Menna the Pakistani Muslim may interest you. He is in the habit of preparing foods in his restaurant and giving the foods way to the homeless and the hungry. His restaurant is located in Washington DC close to Franklin Square, which is not too far from the White House, seat of the American President, to the west, and Mayor Kaba House to the east.
Also, many homeless individuals live at this square. They have turned the square to their home due to inability to rent a home and procure decent furnishing.
The man took it upon himself to cook good foods for the homeless and destitute. After cooking the meal, he would invite them to just come in and eat. The beauty of it is that he gives them the food free of charges; the people are not charged anything. In fact, he allows them to choose their food from the menu available.
When asked if he is not afraid of going bankruptcy if he continues to give his food to the hungry free or charges this way. His response was that he is doing the will of God and he believes God will never allow him to run out of stock.
This Indian-Pakistan restaurant do play host to so many people each times. At times, up to 15 people may show up at the door of the restaurant for food. The owner even declared there were days he and his staff would pray to God to send in more people.

A Tale of Strange Friendships Without Barriers

The boy’s best site for recreational purposes is the sea shore where he could easily get his best friend. Once he arrived at the site he could use his tactics just to get the stingray. These involve making funny noises or even throwing some food that the stingray love most and even could splash water. Through all these the stingray could come around having sensed that the friend is around.
Once the animal comes to the shore he feeds it and even goes as far as playing with it which makes the duo have a kind of bonding. The boy spends quite a number of hours feeding and playing with his pet, even could finish up all the food for the pet friend and still ask for more from the fishermen or even those who were passing by.
It came a time when all his friends and family members were moved by curiosity and wanted to know what the boy used to do at the sea shore but they could not believe their eyes when they saw the child playing with a very odd friend. But as the saying goes if you can’t beat us then join us. They were all forced to lend a helping hand, and together they have been able to make sure that their new found friendship lasts longer.

House Built From Recycled Waste Erected in Japanese Town

A house has just been built in a small town in Japan called Kamikatzu. The house is special in all sense in that it was built entirely using recycled waste. The house is already making a statement across the globe because it has zero emission.
Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP were the architects that designed the home. They have also won for themselves the WAN Sustainable Buildings award for 2016 for this very cool building. They were given the award primarily because the building was completed using only reclaimed materials. This falls directly in line with the vision of the town to carry out recycling of 100% of its wastes in few years to come. To date, they can recycle up to 80% of the waste they generate.
Lots of things are featured in this building; for one, it has sizeable living spaces, brewery, and even a bar. All the rooms in the house feature ingenious displays of reuse from reclaimed bottle chandelier to floor tiles. The design is impressive to say the fact. Also, it showcased recycling as an entirely new creative outlet and not just a chore. The sight of the building makes recycling looks like a fascinating idea.

Las Vegas Installs Footprint-Powered Streetlights

A new method of generating electricity has been taken down to the city of Las Vegas. Now, you can see the lights come up in response to footsteps. Take a stroll through Boulder Plaza in Las Vegas, and you will have a clearer idea of what is going on. The dominance of renewable energy source is gradually taking hold.

How did this happen? The city of Las Vegas teamed up with EnGo Planet, a New-York based company, to install solar and kinetic powered street lights in the Arts District of the city. Many more cities across the country are now resorting to renewable energy, and Las Vegas does not want to be left out. The use of renewable energy source helps to reduce net emission.

There are about 300 million streetlights across cities in the United States, and these are generating up to 100 million tons of carbon pollution annually. EnGo Planet is already using their renewable energy technology to combat this carbon emission.
The streetlight is made using a very simple technique. The company installed kinetic pad under each of the streetlights. Each time anybody steps on the kinetic pad, the pad absorbs the kinetic energy and passes it to a generator where it is stored. A footstep can generate up to 8 watts, and when this is combined with solar energy that is gathered during the day, the total energy will be robust enough to power a LED streetlight.
The light is however amped up by the special feature EnGo has added to the whole design.  Mobile charging station and a Wi-Fi hotspot are installed at each of the streetlights, as well as USB ports. They equally install smart sensors that can be used to monitor humidity, air quality, and temperature.  You can check these data via the internet using a specially built online software. You can also check the battery status and regulate the brightness of the light.
