Generally, we set up some sort of lock screen security on our smartphone not only to prevent it from strangers (or friends) from checking out messages and private pictures but also to secure valuable data when someone steals the phone. Moreover, Android has several options available for preventing others from accessing your device, including pattern, PIN, and password, etc.
But, what if you’re the one who cannot access your phone? Here is the simple procedure to regain access to your Android smartphone or tablet without factory reset when you forget your PIN, password, or pattern lock.
How to Bypass Screen Lock?
If you have entered the incorrect password for five times, on the fifth attempt, you will get a message informing that you must wait for 30 seconds before you can try again. Now, you Tap ‘Next’ and a button will appear underneath the pattern grid that says ‘Forgot Pattern’. Tap on it.
Next, you’ll get two options i.e; want to unlock your phone through answering the security question that you might have set when you used your device for the very first time, or by entering your Google login details.
You can choose anyone of the option. If you are using the security question, then simply type the answer of the question and unlock your device quickly. Or else, check the Google account option and click ‘Next’. Now, provide your Google account username and password attached to your device and click on ‘Sign in’.
Immediately after answer the security question or the Google ID, you will be given the option to choose your new security locks, such as PIN code, pattern, and password. Select the security option that you prefer and enter your new password or pattern.
Now you will be able to use your new security lock to unlock your phone.
Simple right! Also, this method works for PIN and password lock screen security. However, if you don’t know the security question or the Google ID then you must factory reset in order to unlock your Android phone or tablet.
